P!NK hit Australia in Perth to start her 3 month Beautiful Trauma tour with 42 shows between Aus and NZ! With pyrotechnics, flames, low fog, confetti and acrobatics that women sure knows how to put on a performance!
Katy Perry kicked of her Witness tour in Perth with her epic set and creative stage plot! Each show for Katy was different with a new design to the pyrotechnics each night for her song firework! Mix this with Co2 Jets firing inwards on all angles in to the retina of her stage backdrop and speciality confetti coming over the audience, I'm not sure we could have squeezed anymore special effects in!
We were back at Splendour for 2018 with an epic line up of acts! The flavour of choice this year was confetti and streamers and we had a ball with SAFIA, Angus & Julia Stone, Dune Rats, Lorde, Ocean Alley and Ball Park Music across the 3 day festival! Looking forward to more confetti cannons next year!
After hitting number 1 on the Triple J hottest 100 for 2017, Kendrick Lamar has gained a huge following in Australia! He hit the shores down under and we got to tour Aus and NZ with him bringing along the pyrotechnics, flame units and low fog.
To celebrate the AFL pride match at Etihad Stadium, we fired a rainbow of the new coloured smoke mines for the team to run through and shot rainbow streamers in to the crowd from 14 stadium cannons positioned around the ground. The effect of the coloured smoke mines was spectacular!
Imagine Dragons toured both Aus and NZ in May with epic tunes and bulk confetti. With a mix of standard rectangle confetti and circle confetti, it certainly was hard to see the stage through it all!
Back for another year, thousands of Melbournian's hit the road on foot to cross the finish line in the iconic MCG. We pave the final stint with flame towers and pyrotechnics to celebrate the end of a tiring morning run.
Bruno Mars hit the stage with pyrotechnics, salamander flame units, confetti and low fog to tour his Grammy award winning Album of the Year. With his upbeat music and pyro filled concerts he impressed across the nation.
2018 introduced a new type of AFL in the form of AFLX. With AFL teams competing in a three day round robin on a smaller field across Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. With our wireless Galaxis flames and Co2 Jets we positioned our units to create a X for the occasion.
The AFL ANZAC Day Eve match is always such an honour to work on with the Creswick Light Horsemen and families of our fallen soldiers. The torches are lit by the Eternal Flame at the Shrine of Remembrance and escorted down to the MCG to light the cauldron which runs for the entirety of the match.
Australia's biggest international country and roots festival CMC Rocks was back for another successful year. The festival ended with a bang with our rooftop pyrotechnics display.
The 2018 AFLW Season kicked off with a massive weekend for Melbourne. Another packed stadium for the season opener at Ikon Park with flame towers to welcome the team on to the field.
The Melbourne Renegades had a stellar season, with flames, mega Co2 jets, pyrotechnics and the Mascot running on to the field with our Co2 jet guns. The men's reached 3rd on the finals ladder and were in with a chance to host the Grand Final. Unfortunately the Strikers had the home team advantage and won the match by 2 runs. Good luck next year Renegades!
Back for another year, the Melbourne Stars came out in full force with our new smoke mines, green flame units, pyrotechnics and an attempt at the Guinness World record for the amount of people in one place blowing bubbles. Unfortunately this season wasn't the year for the Stars but hopefully next year is!
The legend himself, Paul McCartney, wowed his crowds with 3 hour sets and more than half a tonne of pyrotechnics!
It was an early start for the annual Fairfax City2Sea in Melbourne where we encouraged the runners through a Co2 Jet archway at the half way point.
Lorde graced the crowds with her presence on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House and we were there to celebrate with a fireworks show from the harbour to make the sky green and yellow for her hit Green Light.
With one of the largest ground support tours we've seen in a while, Drake's Boy Meets World tour certainly impressed with its epic stage set up, bulk pyrotechnics and low fog.
Khalid hit Australian shores in November for his very first tour down under. He sold out fast and with epic tunes and confetti over the crowd he quickly made a name for himself as a must see live artist.
It has been a massive year for the Migos trio and they certainly didn't disappoint when they hit the stage! They are arguably one of the biggest rap-group success stories for 2017 and we look forward to working with them the next time they hit our shores.
Rock legend Alice Cooper knows how to get it done! With 7 shows in 9 days across 6 Aussie states and territories he certainly knew how to start with a bang - opening the shows front of stage with an epic pyro waterfall behind him!
Grammy Award-winning and global sensation The Chainsmokers went out with a bang with their "Memories... Do Not Open" AUS + NZ tour. The tour went back to back up the east coast with a massive set-up of pyro and special effects.
It was 37 years in the making but Richmond FC smashed through the finals and managed to lock down the 2017 AFL Premiership win! Congratulations Tiges!
With one of the largest equipment sets on any Arena tour, G Dragon wowed the crowds with a mixture of special effects. From pyro, flames, Co2 jets and low fog machines to massive streamer and confetti shots the former Big Bang artist put on an epic show.
MasterChef was back for another year in 2017 with a nail-biting season final. Diana and Ben managed to knock out the competition and with one point in it, Diana took out the 2017 title! Congratulations Diana!
Splendour in the Grass was back at the North Byron Parklands with another stellar line up! From Kingswood and Peking Duk on the Friday night, to Vallis Alps, Slumberjack and Dan Sultan on Saturday and Kilter on Sunday there was a range of effects including our new Magic FX Smoke Bubble Blasters!
P&O Cruises new ship the Pacific Explorer set sail but not before our Nickelodeon special effects slime christened the captain and crew.

The Big Pineapple Music Festival was back for another year with another solid line-up. Safia and Peking Duk hit the main stage with epic set lists with confetti and CO2 covering the crowds!
Bollywood fever hit Melbourne and Sydney when Da Bang The Tour arrived in town. With flash paper walls, pyro, confetti and CO2 the Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha certainly didn't disappoint their audiences!
Martin Garrix killed it with the pre-show entertainment for Justin Bieber using our hurricane flame units.
Green Day landed back in Australia kicking off their Revolution Radio Tour in Perth. They headed to the east coast dropping in to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney bringing with them the usual packed crowds. They put on a stellar performance as per usual including pyro, moving flames, confetti and our t-shirt gun! Always a pleasure to work with and we're already looking forward to having them back next time!
It is always a privilege to be part of the ANZAC Day Eve pre game tribute to those lost, who have served and for the soldiers who are still in active service. The eternal flame at the Shrine of Remembrance was used to light our torch which was ridden in to the the MCG by the Creswick Light Horse Troop consisting of 30 horses. The torch was then passed on to the Baird Family, the parents of one of our fallen soldiers, to light the cauldron which would remain burning for the entire match. LEST WE FORGET.
Peking Duk kicked off their Clowntown tour and we were there to clown around with our psyco2 jets, confetti blowers and streamers. The energetic duo never disappoint and are always keen to test out our new equipment - glad to see the new psyco2 jets were a huge success!
Rene Liu wowed the crowds with her incredible voice and our confetti blowers in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Craig Hutchison has joined the team at the AFL Footy Show for 2017 and is getting his fair share of servings. It's always a good excuse to use our rose petal confetti when you're trying to embarrass your mate on national television!
The 2017 Australian Grand Prix was back for another year at Albert Park where we celebrated with fireworks for the opening night VIP event, Glamour on the Grid. Crowds covered Albert Park on Sunday for the main race where Ferrari celebrated their win with a mix of confetti and champagne.
We love working with the talented team at Moomba Parade to bring their creative ideas to life. This year we managed to create a Co2 Jet whale spout and we spread the love in bubbles with our bubble machines on the love boat. Looking forward to seeing what creative ideas they come up with next!
The first ever AFL Women's Grand Final took us to sunny Queensland with the Brisbane Lions taking on the Adelaide Crows. The Lions headed in to the match undefeated and the Crows had had a cracking season so it's no surprise that the final score was so close. Adelaide took the permiership by a goal in the end and deserve a huge congratulations! Looking forward to next year ladies!
Adele wowed her audiences with her booming voice and cockney accent for her first ever tour to Australia. She hit Melbourne with a little road bump which meant we had the privilege of meeting her and lending her our t-shirt gun.
Bieber Fever hit Oz with a whirlwind tour through the capital cities. With only 1 show per state we started in Perth then hit the east coast, stopping in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Bieber had a range of pyro and co2 jets which definitely kept us busy!
Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival was back for another year with stunning collections to showcase on the runway. We created a liquid snow effect to fall over Premium Runway 3 which gives such a natural look of snow falling.
Sunday night farewelled Pacha Sydney after 4 years of epic dance parties and our resident CO2 set-up. Never fear though, our CO2 jets are staying in for the next big thing taking over!
Back for another New Years Eve fireworks spectacular our team arrived in Hobart with a big few days ahead of them. Once again we spent our days preparing for the 9pm family show and midnight show to bring in the new year for The Taste of Tasmania Festival. Another two breathtaking fireworks displays completed and the beginning of a busy 2017! It's always a pleasure working with the folks down in Tassie!
Electric Gardens returned for its 2nd year adding Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth to the festival list. With headliner Eric Prydz returning to Australia for the first time in two years the line-up surely didn't disappoint and those celebrating Australia Day in Melbourne couldn't have asked for a better day! ANDHIM, Mark Knight, Sasha and Basement Jaxx all showed up and put on a show like no other. Looking forward to a bigger and better year for the festivals 3rd year in 2018!
The Melbourne Stars lead the way all season with stellar performances both home and away. The derby on New Year's Day against their rivals the Renegades was a hot one with another packed crowd at The G. This year we had a few tricks up our sleeves for our pyro off the roof and managed to pull off a star shaped effect visible from the crowd. On top off our usual flames and rooftop pyro, we spent more time outside with the crowds doing Co2 and flame activations which amped up the atmosphere for the home games.
The Stars had the difficult task of meeting the Perth Scorchers in the semi and unfortunately didn't get there on the day. Wishing them all the luck for BBL 07!
The Melbourne Renegades had another great season but unfortunately just narrowly missed out on making the semi finals. In their last home game against the Hobart Hurricanes, the Renegades were up to bat first smashing the highest ever BBL score with a record target of 4-222. Unfortunately the Hurricanes had no intention of calling it quits and managed to come back to win by two wickets smashing another BBL record.
Off the field ShowFX were involved in the big half time show with the motorbike stunts and Killing Heidi wowing the crowd.
Hopefully next year those record breaking skills can get the Renegades the premiership they deserve!
St Jerome Laneway Festival was back for it's twelfth year with headliner Tame Impala closing the festival. During their set we covered the crowd in confetti from Brisbane to Melbourne and Adelaide to Sydney. Looking forward to what's in store next year Laneway!
The legend Bruce Springsteen hit AAMI Park for two nights of spectacular performances and we were there to celebrate with fireworks to end each night. Bruce "The Boss" put on a show stopping 3 hours full of classic hits. Fair to he's welcome back anytime!
What a privilege to be part of the inaugural AFL Women's opening weekend at both Ikon Park and Whitten Oval. We celebrated history in the making with Carlton taking on Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs taking on Fremantle and the matches definitely lived up to the hype with crowds of supporters there to witness history!
2017 Grammy award winner for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance Chance the Rapper headed down under for a whirl wind tour. We were lucky enough to tour with the rap sensation from Beyond the Valley Festival at NYE to Field Day in Sydney, to his solo concert at the Big Top Sydney and Festival Hall in Melbourne. CTR and his huge Aussie following were not disappointed. We're looking forward to having you back in the country next time!
With 7 shows across Australia and New Zealand, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis toured their new album This Unruly Mess I’ve Made. With pyrotechnics and confetti, the crowd was glad to have the duo back in Oz for a whirl wind tour across the country.
The second annual FOMO Festival hit the east coast this summer feat. Empire of the Sun, Peking Duk and headliner Flosstradamus! Being a one-stage festival, FOMO a.k.a Fear Of Missing Out absolutely nailed it as festival goers weren’t stuck trying to choose between two headliners! With flames, CO2 and bulk confetti and streamers, the crowds didn't miss out!
Coldplay headed down under on their seventh concert tour A Head Full of Dreams and wowed crowds throughout the country. We were lucky enough to work with them again in Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to create a spectacle of fireworks, confetti and flames that fans have come to love and expect!
Season 11 saw Queenslanders Will and Karlie pocket a whopping $715,000 over their reserve, with their expansive ground floor apartment in Port Melbourne selling for $2.6 million! We helped them celebrate the win with roof top fireworks from the art deco building now hosting spectacular views of Melbourne's skyline. We were stoked to help Beyond The Valley deliver it’s third successful music festival over the New Years’ Eve period. From December 28th to January 1st, thousands upon thousands of people made their way to Lardner Park to camp out and see the New Year in in style. With acts like Chance the Rapper, SAFIA and Sticky Fingers the start to 2017 was bound to be amazing! Can't wait to see what's next for BTV!
We love getting slimy with our friends at Nickelodeon and had a ball in Melbourne and Sydney this year! The best part was engineering a piano for Deltra Goodrem to play that shot slime out in to the audience!
ShowFX filling the Cargo Hall Melbourne with low fog for a Corporate Christmas Party. Our low fog creates such a stunning entrance to any corporate event and our Technician's nail it every time!
Melbourne turned into a city of red, white and blue for the underdogs of the season. With their captain out of action early and their last premiership win in 1954, the Doggies gained a massive following around the country and took out the premiership in both the AFL and VFL! Dreamtime at the G' is such a special and moving event to be involved in with the AFL. Our small smoking and flaming cauldron makes the presentation real and authentic. Dreamtime at the 'G was first held in 2005, with the aim being to celebrate the contribution of all Indigenous players to the AFL. It is a real highlight on the AFL event calendar every year.
The Melbourne Renegades had a great season.On field they just missed out on the finals but had a great team together that will hopefully create success in BBL 06. Off the field saw a great home game themes with ShowFX being involved in the big half time show with The Veronicas. We once again brought the best to the Renegades with pyro and new flames and most importantly a big rooftop display at Etihad Stadium. Looking forward to BBL 06!
Once again the Melbourne Stars were on fire throughout BBL 05. On field they finally made the Final after years of Semi Final fall overs. Off the field saw a massive crowd of 80,883 for the Melbourne derby was a highlight of the summer of cricket. ShowFX once again rocked the MCG with pyro and flames and most importantly two of our big rooftop displays. Looking forward to BBL 06!
We did one of our biggest fireworks displays Hobart has seen for New Year's Eve this year. The images were amazing that came through social media and the feedback from the public was overwhelming. It capped off our 20 year celebrations and kicked off the adventures on 2016.
Another creation for Slime September was the SlimeLab. An activation built for kids to get slimed. It made it's debut at the Foxtel Footy Festival at Yarra Park, Melbourne for AFL Grand Final Week festivities. It was a massive success with kids, Mums, Dads and even Grandmas getting covered in the green muck. It is now planned to make an appearance at many more events including the Australian Open Festival in January! Who knows where else it may pop up...
Slime slime slime! ShowFX creates tonnes and tonnes of slime for the successful Nickelodeon production, Slimefest. The event is held in Sydney and Melbourne featuring outdoor carnival experience and a concert show for the kids. This year's event featured The Veronicas, Samantha Jade, Timmmy Trumpet, Savage, Boyce Avenue, At Sunset, Reece Mastin, Cosentino and host Rahart Adams. We slimed everyone in room along with other effects inclusing pyro, flames, CO2, confetti and streamrs. Lots of fun and super messy!
Congratulations to the Australian Netball Diamonds becoming world champions at the Netball World Cup. Fantastic result beating arch rivals New Zealand. ShowFX did win a big prize on the day- biggest mess award with our confetti and streamers!!!!! Some amazing still images, the captured joy and special moment confetti can bring is all what ShowFX is about.
We had LOTS of fun at Splendour in the Grass this year with multiple artists including Peking Duk and Alison Wonderland. We did a variet of effects ta he Byron bay location all with the ShowFX passion and fun.
ShowFX has been busy, as usual, within the month of June, getting ready for spring to hit in a matter of weeks. Yikes, where has the year gone?

What an honour and privilege to be involved with the AFL Richmond FC and Melbourne FC at the ANZAC Day Eve pre game proceedings. The eternal flame at the Shrine of Remembrance was used to light our torch which was ridden to the the MCG by the Creswick Light Horse Troop. When arriving at the MCG, a lap of honour was done and the torch was then handed over to AFL Legend Ron Barassi to light the cauldron, where the cauldron was burning for the entire game. What a special and moving tribute to those who have fought and are still fighting for our country. LEST WE FORGET.

We helped the Melbourne Stars thank their home crowd for the season with an amazing rooftop display at the MCG. Patrons were blown away and we just can't get enough of doing the rooftop!
ShowFX celebrated Diwali with the Indian community on the Yarra River, Melbourne. It is a yearly event for us that we love to be apart of.
Working in conjunction with Crown Melbourne, we celebrated Lunar New Year with the community of Melbourne by putting on a spectacular firework display on the Yarra River.
Perth Scorchers made it back to back wins by beating Sydney Sixers in Canberra. Our confetti rained down on the champions for BBL04 as well as rooftop flames and pyro. Bring on BBL05!
What fun we had at Slimefest! We made tonnes and tonnes of gooey slime for shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Our talented team used slime, confetti, streamers and our CO2 Jets to make hundred of kids covered in slime and screaming all day out of excitement!
We made Federation Square and Melbourne rain green and gold with the presentation of champions of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015...AUSTRALIA! The 2014/2015 Australian's summer of cricket is over, we look forward to what the 2015/2016 season brings.
We had great fun at the InStyle Australia runway at the virgin Australia Melbourne fashion Festival. InStyle Australia was celebrating their 15th birthday and as we do we topped off their finale set with our golden streamers.
ShowFX was involded at Future Music Festival and Good Life with 9 artists including Avicii, Martin Garrix, Drake, Afrojack, Carnage, Knife Party, Bassjackers, Blasterjaxx and BLISS N ESO Our special effects were across 3 stages across 9 shows in 13 days in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

How awesome is the new tennis concept Fast4Tennis! It's a quick, fun way to play tennis, and boy did Rafael Nadal look to have fun at The Summer Set! The first event in Margaret Court Arena after it's refurbishments, we did an awesome walk on effect with our CO2 Jets for the Rafael Nadal matches against young star Omar Jasika, Australian stalwart Mark Philippoussis and Spanish star Fernando Verdasco. Here's to more Fast4Tennis and special effects!
Hobart New Year's Eve went off with an amazing 9.30pm and midnight fireworks display. The team put together two great shows to celebrate 2015 and remember the year 2014 was on the water of Constitutional Dock in Hobart. Look forward to next year's display!
We bought in the new year at Phillip Island at Beyond the Valley. It was a great few days at the island with confetti, streamers and CO2 Jets.
We have been doing this carols event for many years. It is a fantastic community to work with and they all come together for this big event. Just one of the many Christmas carols or events ShowFX has been involved with this year.
Earlier in the month we enjoyed being apart of the 2014 Special Olympics Australia Games Opening and Closing Ceremony in Melbourne Around 1,000 participants competed in 16 sports. We provided a special cauldron flame for the event which was a great spectacle for all involved.
ShowFX loved creating an awesome bubble effect for KYGO at the Harbourlife Festival at Darling Harbour Sydney.
ShowFX loved being involved in the Coldplay pop up video shoot for their new song “A Sky Full of Stars” Supplying our confetti blowers. They asked for 250 fans to turn up to be involved, with thousands turning out to see one of the world’s biggest bands. Look forward to seeing the video clip when it is officially released.
